What’s my secret to tourism marketing? Having a genuine passion for travel and understanding why people travel are the keys to successful tourism marketing. You not only have to be good at creative, copywriting, coming up with out-of-the-box ideas, staying on top of trends and all that marketing stuff, you have to be able to think like a traveler. Consider the reason why people travel: they want an experience and to create memories that will last a lifetime. Research shows Millennials are more likely to spend money on experiences than physical items for exactly that reason – they will have the memories of an experience forever.
